Oracle executives signal full commitment to AI agents, intensifying competition in enterprise software
Oracle executives clearly stated during the Q3 fiscal 2025 earnings call that they will fully embrace an AI agent strategy. Chairman Larry Ellison said, "All applications are becoming AI agents," and CEO Safra Catz revealed that dozens of agents have already been embedded in applications such as finance and human capital management. The company had previously released over 50 role-based AI agents at the CloudWorld conference. Deloitte predicts that 25% of generative AI enterprises will launch agent pilots in 2025, and that this proportion will reach 50% by 2027.

Oracle is one of several enterprise software companies that have begun rolling out products leveraging the technology.
At its annual CloudWorld conference in September, Oracle announced the release of more than 50 role-based AI agents within its Fusion Cloud application suite.
Among these tools, the company released a "ledger agent" designed to help organizations monitor and analyze account balances, anomalies, and variances, and detect whether revenue for a specific business line is deviating from forecasts before the quarter ends. Additionally, it released an "advanced forecasting agent" capable of providing revenue forecasts using internal and external data factors.
