Basware Appoints Donna Wilczek as Chief Product and Technology Officer
On March 3, 2026, Basware announced that Donna Wilczek will serve as Chief Product and Technology Officer, responsible for product strategy, technology vision, and roadmap, driving the company to become the standard-setter in intelligent finance. Wilczek previously served as an executive at Coupa and a member of Basware's board of directors, with over 20 years of experience in B2B product innovation.

Charlotte, North Carolina — Basware, the global leader in Invoice Lifecycle Management (ILM), today announced the appointment of Donna Wilczek as Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO) to lead the company's next phase of AI-driven growth. Wilczek previously served on Basware's Board of Directors and held executive roles at Coupa. She will be responsible for product strategy, technology vision, and roadmap, working to make Basware the de facto standard in intelligent finance. Wilczek will join Basware's executive team, reporting directly to CEO Jason Kurtz.
Wilczek said: "The era of accounts payable being viewed through a procurement-centric 'source-to-pay' lens is coming to an end. When we build invoice lifecycle management with true AP expertise and AI at its core, we create a durable control plane for cash, global compliance, and intelligent insights—covering 100% of a company's invoices, regardless of source, ERP system, or supporting documents. Basware is leading this transformation, and I'm here to accelerate it."
As a seasoned technology leader, Wilczek brings over two decades of experience driving product and innovation strategy at B2B companies. She most recently served as Chief Product Officer at Oomnitza, where she led innovation strategy for the enterprise IT asset management platform. Previously, Wilczek spent 13 years at Coupa, most recently as Executive Vice President of Strategy and Innovation, where she helped the company grow from an early-stage startup to a business with over $1 billion in annual billed revenue and an $8 billion valuation. Earlier in her career, she held positions at TriNet, IBM, and Accenture.
Jason Kurtz said: "Donna is one of the most respected product and technology leaders in source-to-pay and accounts payable, and I'm thrilled to have her join our team. As a board member, Donna helped shape our strategy for invoice lifecycle management and ensured we ranked #1 with Gartner, Forrester, and IDC. She brings deep domain expertise, customer obsession, and a builder's mindset—exactly what we need as we create the future of intelligent finance and make Basware the standard for every finance team globally."
