Resynergi Appoints Jens Umehag as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer

Rohnert Park, California, March 26, 2024 /PRNewswire/ – Resynergi, a pioneer in plastic recycling technology, today announced the appointment of Jens Umehag as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

As COO and CFO of Resynergi, Umehag will help shape growth strategy and lead business operations and financial planning. He will report directly to Brian Bauer, Co-Founder and CEO of Resynergi.

Umehag most recently served as CFO of Innovation and Digital Businesses at Halma Group, while also serving as Managing Partner of Halma Ventures, a venture capital arm he founded within Halma plc (LSE: HLMAF). Previously, Umehag served as CFO of Halma plc's Medical, Environmental, and Analytical sectors for two years.

Umehag spent 19 years at BP in the UK and Spain, starting as a petroleum analyst before quickly rising to key roles in fuel value chain management and leadership. In his final role at BP, he served as CFO of BP Ventures (LSE: BP) and Group Technology Finance Director, responsible for investing in emerging technology companies and accelerating cutting-edge innovation in the energy sector.

He has also served on the boards of companies across various technology and B2B sectors globally. He holds a Bachelor's degree in International Business from the European Business School in London.
