DigiCert Appoints New Chief Financial Officer and Chief Revenue Officer
DigiCert, a global provider of digital trust solutions, announced two executive appointments on February 14, 2024: Jugnu Bhatia as Chief Financial Officer and Dave Packer as Chief Revenue Officer. The two will help the company expand market coverage and drive annual recurring revenue beyond $1 billion.
LEHI, Utah — DigiCert, the world's leading provider of digital trust, today announced new additions to its executive team: Jugnu Bhatia as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Dave Packer as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).
“DigiCert just recorded its highest quarterly bookings in company history, and I am thrilled to welcome such exceptional leaders to our executive team at this pivotal stage of growth,” said Amit Sinha, CEO of DigiCert. “Jugnu and Dave bring extensive operational and leadership experience. With our continued innovation and market execution in digital trust, these leaders will play a key role as we move toward $1 billion and beyond in annual recurring revenue (ARR).”
Bhatia brings extensive corporate and operational financial management experience from both private and public companies. Prior to joining DigiCert, he served as Senior Vice President, Finance, and Chief Accounting Officer at Zscaler, Inc. During his eight-year tenure at Zscaler, the company grew from a private enterprise to a NASDAQ-100 constituent, with annual recurring revenue increasing from $100 million to over $2 billion. Before Zscaler, Bhatia spent nearly 20 years in finance, strategy, and operations roles at organizations including Oracle and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, serving industry-leading clients such as Cisco, Agilent, and Sony.
“In an era where data is currency and security is paramount, building trust becomes the cornerstone for relationships and innovation to thrive, paving the way for growth,” said Bhatia. “I look forward to seizing this tremendous opportunity as part of DigiCert's executive team.”
Packer brings over 30 years of technology industry experience to DigiCert, spanning leadership roles in sales, field operations, alliances, professional services, customer success, and support. With his diverse background in ERP, security, and data management, he will lead DigiCert's go-to-market efforts to capture the significant market opportunity in digital trust. Prior to joining DigiCert, Packer led global field operations at Matillion and held positions at Ping Identity and E2open—both of which successfully completed IPOs.
“Digital trust is not just foundational; it is the cornerstone of the massive market opportunity I see at DigiCert,” said Packer. “As structural shifts from quantum computing and generative AI continue to impact every aspect of work and life, the demand for digital trust will only grow, and DigiCert is uniquely positioned to meet these increasing needs.”
